Mandi Johnson-Aliverti ventured to more than 1 spot on her recent trip up the Garden Route. Views Hotel & Spa played host to her family whilst visiting the scenic and beautiful sleepy hollow that is The Wilderness. She had the following to say,
“Views is a small new hotel located right on the beautiful long white sandy beach of the town of Wilderness, on the Garden Route. There are a few different suites on offer and obviously worth taking a sea-facing suite which range in size from a fair size to a huge over-sized honeymoon suite.
We were luckily upgraded to a honeymoon suite which was wonderful for my family of 4. Even the enormous walk-in bathroom with featured free-standing bath in the middle of the room and double shower is over-sized and luxurious. The views (no pun intended!) are spectacular and the loud sound of the waves emphasize your close proximity to the sea below. The décor is fresh and fun with a definite marine influence. I really like the chill-out lounge on the second floor that is available for in-house guests only. The spa is very well equipped and attractive with a small indoor pool and outside chill area.
Worth noting, the service as well as fine dining restaurant weren’t up to scratch as far as I’m concerned – both in service and cuisine, and I hope that it improves !
Views is great for couples wanting a romantic weekend away or with teenage children, not very suitable for young children though.”
