“After walking the dog on the glorious Noordhoek Beach, with sandy feet and feeling rather windswept – a dinner at the Foodbarn is just the prefect finale to a great relaxed evening. Internationally acclaimed chef Frank Dangereux (previously cooking the cuisine at La Colombe) has opened a place for family and friends where connecting around good food really matters. Natural tastes and textures, simple yet charismatic food will entice you back for more. I loved the unpretentious setting – inside a little more sophisticated than outside on the veranda – with innovative dishes to match. A mix of deli and haute-cuisine had me inspired and even the dog got offered a bowl of water. With good, friendly service all around this is a relatively secret gem for every day lunches and dinners from Wednesday to Sunday.”
